Marc Kurtzman, MS-II, Immediate-Past President of GLBT & Allies, was honored by the USF Alumni association at the 6th Annual USF LGBT GALA and Scholarship Awards Celebration for his exceptional commitment to GLBT inclusion and diversity at USF. Mr. Kurtzman, a second year medical student at the USF College of Medicine, formed the GLBT & Allies group with the guidance of Faculty Advisor Donald Wheeler, M.D., during his first year at USF Health. His leadership on issues of GLBT inclusion and fighting homophobia has strengthened the diversity of our campus, and continues to be inspiration for the work of the GLBT & Allies group.
